VWTB debuts Meteor truck family and e-Delivery in Costa Rica

Reinforcing its participation in the international vehicle market and breaking new ground, Volkswagen Truck & Bus arrives at two more models in Costa Rica. These are two 14-ton e-Delivery, purchased by Coca-Coca FEMSA; and two Meteor 29,520, which are part of the fleet of the companies Macasa and Renessa.

The e-Delivery are already in circulation on the streets of the country in the segment of urban distribution of beverages. FEMSA, consolidated as one of the largest fleet owners of VW electric trucks in Brazil and abroad, once again demonstrates its commitment to invest in innovation and sustainable technologies.

The Meteor destined for Renessa will operate in the transport of aviation fuel, while the model acquired by Macasa will enter the segment of transportation of construction materials. "The debut of these models in a new country represents the reference of our products in Brazil and in the world. Our entire family of trucks and buses is tailor-made for the satisfaction of our customers, delivering comfort, safety, technology and robustness" highlights Matheus Agi, commercial consultant at Volkswagen Truck & Bus .

Present in more than 30 countries around the world, VWTB continues to expand its internationalization strategy more and more. "The arrival of Meteor and e-Delivery in Costa Rica significantly expands our process of seeking new markets, strengthening our production partnerships and gaining leadership in the countries in which we already operate. We continue to advance and seek new business opportunities" points out Juliano Ruggieri, commercial manager of the automaker.

 

e-Delivery 14

The 14-ton e-Delivery is equipped with an engine that delivers 300 kW with a maximum torque of 2,150 Nm, in addition to air rear suspension as standard. The truck also offers a high level of energy efficiency. The three state-of-the-art battery packs allow the vehicle to have up to 110km of range, with significantly lower energy consumption than the diesel consumption of an equivalent truck.

 

VW Meteor

The Meteor family continues to be one of the most powerful and comfortable in the extra-heavy segment. The models leave the factory with V-Tronic automated transmission with exclusive functions, air conditioning, refrigerator and induction cell phone charger. The largest Volkswagen in the world has a 13-liter D26 engine, providing the customer with vehicle performance beyond expectations, with greater fuel economy, low maintenance cost and durability suitable for the most severe applications.
