• Brazil's first 100% electric truck raises torque and brings more connectivity in the cabin• New features include e-PTO, reduced recharging time, AC recharging, new EBS brakes, stability control and the highest payload and maximum towing capacity in the category
Volkswagen Truck & Bus launches the new 11-ton e-Delivery, reaffirming its commitment to the constant development of electric mobility to offer even more availability, efficiency and performance. The vehicle comes equipped with a new 280 kW electric motor, providing a 7% increase in torque, with 2,300 Nm available from start-up.
This enhanced performance ensures greater strength and responsiveness, optimizing transportation operations in various sectors. With a GVW of 11,400 kg, another novelty is in its CGVW and MTC of 15,000 kg, with a towing capacity of 3,600 kg, the largest in its category. This configuration, combined with the weight reduction in the e-Delivery's components, brings the payload capacity to 6,300 kg in the version with the longest range, a 16% increase on the first generation launched in 2021, guaranteeing greater productivity and profitability for operators.Another highlight of the new vehicle is the factory e-PTO (Power Take-Off) that brings the best cost benefit to the customer. The e-PTO is designed for a wide range of applications, with a power capacity of up to 30 kW, ranging from traditional applications such as general cargo to special applications such as maintenance of high-voltage electrical networks. This system allows the use of electrical energy from batteries to power auxiliary components such as cranes, pumps and compressors, resulting in greater energy efficiency.
Among the chargers, the distinguishing feature of the VW electric truck is the alternating current (AC) option, ideal for applications that allow for slower charging, with a lower investment cost for this option. The charger is available in two versions, 11 and 22 kW. The new direct current (DC) chargers are optimized with a new battery cooling system and bring greater availability to the vehicle, charging any battery variant from 0 to 80% within an hour. The well-known regeneration system is still present in the new truck and can recover up to 40% of the energy in decelerations, increasing efficiency and battery economy. The model comes with options of three or six battery packs, which provide up to 250 km of autonomy.
In terms of comfort, the integral air suspension on the rear axle ensures a smoother and safer ride. The new generation also has electronic brakes (EBS) and electronic stability control system (ESC), providing greater performance and safety in braking and maneuvering.
The newly released Highline package is also available for the new e-Delivery. In addition to all the features of the Prime package, it offers more technological differentials: 100% digital cluster and multimedia center, providing a more connected driving experience, with a wide range of information to the operator ranging from recharging the batteries to information on consumption and energy regeneration for the batteries.
