VW Caminhões e Ônibus creates the Institutional Relations and Sustainability Department

Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus has just created the Institutional Relations and Sustainability Department. The new area adds environmental, social responsibility and governance (ESG) practices to government and institutional activities. Director Marco Saltini reports to President and CEO Roberto Cortes, and now has Priscila Rocha as an executive for the company's focus on sustainable development goals.

 “For the TRATON GROUP and its brands, sustainability means understanding and facing global challenges, recognizing the opportunities and risks related to sustainable development. It responds to the expectations of customers, politics and society in general, in addition to giving concrete answers to the multiple challenges of sustainable mobility”, says Roberto Cortes.

 According to Marco Saltini, the new area will establish a solid strategy, planned and incorporated into all the company's actions. “Not only in the environment, inclusion and diversity, working relationships with employees, customers and suppliers will also be on the agenda, in addition to community relations, as well as administrative and management spheres,” he explains.

 Experienced executive

 To add the ESG activities to the Institutional Relations and Sustainability Department, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus counts on the executive Priscila Rocha. Chemical engineer graduated from the Federal University of São Carlos, specialized in Environmental Management Systems, and Master in Health, Environment, and Sustainability from USP, the new supervisor has professional experience in companies in the pulp and paper, chemical, and automotive segments, and has also worked for the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp).
