Volkswagen Truck & Bus strengthens its commitment to social responsibility in 2024 by increasing the number of supported institutions to 16. The company invests in initiatives that promote health, sports, the environment, education, culture, citizenship, care and inclusion, and the protection of children and adolescents, directly impacting communities in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
Among the projects supported are the 22nd GRAACC Race and Walk, which generates funds for the treatment of children and adolescents with cancer; "Fazendo Arte - Inclusão para Todos", which promotes inclusion through artistic activities; FLIR - Resende Book Fair, which promotes reading and access to culture; "Nado Artístico para Todos”, which expands access to water sports for young people with disabilities; the "Pelo Direito de Envelhecer com Direitos" program, which supports the elderly population; and "Futebol Resende - Pelé Academia", which develops and improves the functioning of the basic categories of the Resende Futebol Clube, where the brand's factory is located.
"Our commitment goes beyond the production of vehicles and services. We want to contribute to the social development of the communities that host us and help build a fairer and more sustainable future for all," says Marco Saltini, Vice President of Institutional Relations at Volkswagen Truck & Bus.
These actions reflect the company's role as an agent of social change, investing in initiatives that have a positive and lasting impact on people's lives and strengthen local communities.
